Recently some machine landed on a piece of rock floating around in the middle of nowhere. Pretty cool I guesss.
Some very dominant country wants to send humans to an even bigger piece of rock covered in red sand. Amazing. But why not send a robot instead. Yeah, I know it is about prestige and all of that but these astronauts would be far more useful if they cleaned my room. Or your room. Or anybody's room. Just not some room on the mars. There aren't even any rooms there. Just sand. They could carry a broom though and sweep some of that dust away from the planetary surface. Or just let a robot do the job.
Robots are cool. They don't need food, sleep, space suits, air, space ships, or toilets. Just a battery or some sun for their solar panels. They also do not go insane during endless travels through interstellar space.
Just watch any science fiction movie and you will find clear evidence that space travel is not beneficial for the human psyche.
Star Wars

Humans in space seem to come up with really ridiculous hairstyles. I don't want to know how these astronauts would look like after two years in a small, isolated spaceship, which they can't leave.
The Chronicles of Riddick

This guys idea of environmental protection on alien planets seems to consist out of diver goggles and a tank top. Clearly not a good idea.

The results of space travel: Regress into the middle ages and invention of oversized, useless razors. Also another example of a ridiculous haircut.
As you can see it is not a good idea to send humans into space. We have movies for that. Dreaming of it is probably far better than doing it in reality. And in any other case: Just send robots.
