Two weeks have been flying past without pursuing anything spectacular. No sightseeing. No travels outside the city. Just meeting old friends and getting lost in vast residential areas with my camera.

In some ways these images are generic. I might not have had to travel to this mega city at the end of the world to take them. But maybe it is interesting to see how modern cities tend to look more and more alike around the globe. In the end it then depends on you as a person what kind of photograph you might take and not so much on the surrounding you are in.

Let's face it. To take pictures of tourist sites is not really that interesting. Why would you even do it in the first place? To show it to your beloved ones at home? There is no point. Especially not in the age of the internet. A much better photo of the same place than yours is just a mouse click away.

This text does not argue that the images on this blog are better or present a more appropriate approach to photography than taking pictures of tourist sights. It merely reflects some personal views and interests of an amateur who likes to push a button on the camera at the moment it feels right. Thank you for reading!
