KakaoTalk is the most popular messenger application in South Korea. It is comparable to the European WhatsApp but features several characters, which can be used as emoticons in the app. They are called the Kakao Friends. In the newly opened KakaoStore in Gangnam, the devotees can purchase a diverse range of merchandise to satisfy their Kakao Needs. You almost always have to stand in line to get in.
